Initially, the college was started as a Commerce college. The departments of different humanities subjects were started in a much later period. The Department of History was started in 2002. Since then the department offers ‘General’ courses only. The humanities department was started in the morning shift. The time of the morning section was from 7 am to 12 pm. Students from different social categories come to take admission. As long as the history department was in the morning section many students used to come to college in the morning section, who were working in the day time. Generally, students from economically weaker sections take admission here. Therefore, they value class teaching. They are sincere and average students don’t take tuition outside college. They attend all classes sincerely.
