Statutory Declaration U/S4(1)(b) of the RTI Act, 2005

Section 4(1) (b) of RTI Act, 2005 covers the Statutory Declaration of Dr. Kana Mani Mukherjee, Principal, Chittaranjan College.

Our college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta and aided by Govt of West Bengal.

The college has formed the RTI Cell as per the GB resolution no. 16/18 dated 7/12/2018 as per the West Bengal Govt Memo No. ED-1964/2017 date 22/09/2017.

The college has a Governing Body and IQAC. It runs as per the rules and regulations of the University of Calcutta and Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The college comes under Grant in Aid category so all the financial transactions of the college are audited by the panel of Government auditors recommended by Director of Public Instructions, Directorate of Education, Government of West Bengal. The college has a Grievance Cell and Internal Complaint Committee which are in charge of maintain discipline and prevent ragging of any students in the college premise. As a result, harmony among students, teachers and non-teaching staff are well maintained. All the committees are approved by the Governing Body. The applications under the RTI Act along with a Nonjudicial postal stamp for Rs 10/- in favor of Principal, Chittaranjan College, Kolkata can be submitted if anyone wants to file a case under RTI. This application may be sent to the State Public Information Officer (SPIO), Chittaranjan College or submit to the office of the college in a sealed envelope. All information about the college is open for the public and it can be obtained by citizens of India.

At present the college has no RTI related pending case.
