Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus as per UGC Mandate (DO NO: F.1-15/2009 (ARC) Pt. III)
Though originated in the military academics, Ragging has destroyed countless young talents in public and private Higher Educational Institutes. The Hon’ble Supreme Court, UGC and Government of West Bengal have issued stringent guidelines in order to annihilate it at all HEIs.
Chittaranjan College, in accordance to the guidelines of UGC, has constituted and implemented a robust ant-ragging cell, which strictly adheres to Zero-tolerance principle.
The fight for a Ragging-free campus continues unabated.
Procedures Adopted:
- Placement of hoardings and banners placed at various important points at the College and website
- Wide Spread of awareness about Ragging and its consequences
- Encouraging students in poster competition, slogan writing related to ragging and display them in the college walls
- Organization of Drama, debate related to menace of ragging
- Close monitoring/ Vigilance and immediate action on ragging -related complaints
- Signed anti-ragging mandate as per UGC norms at the time of admission
